Present Tenses From Zero
This lesson teaches present tenses as a simple time system. The student learns what each present tense means, sees how it connects to now, practises each tense alone, then compares the tenses in real communication.
1. The Big Idea: Present Time Is Not Only “Now”
English uses different present tenses because speakers can talk about habits, things happening now, life experience, or actions that started before now and still matter now.
Simple present-time map:
past experience
now
still happening

10. Final Speaking and Writing
Write about your life now. Try to use at least three present forms.
These days, I work from home and I usually start early. Right now, I am improving my English because I have joined more international meetings. I have learned many useful expressions, and I have been practising speaking every week.
11. Homework
A. Correct the mistake
B. Choose the best tense
C. Write your own sentences
Write 8 new sentences: two Present Simple, two Present Continuous, two Present Perfect, one Present Perfect Continuous, and one Present Simple vs Continuous contrast.
Example: I usually drink tea in the morning. Today I am drinking coffee. I have finished two tasks already. I have been learning English for three years.
